How we are funded

We state this plainly because it shapes everything about how we work: ZOST currently has no institutional funding partner and no government grant. Operating costs have been carried by the volunteers themselves and by administration contributions.

Ostomy products reach us as donations in kind, chiefly from partner organisations and well wishers abroad. Cash donations are used for the costs that turn those donations into delivered supplies: import duty and clearing, storage, transport, and education work.

Budgeted funding requirement for 2026

Our 2026 budget, prepared by a chartered accountant, sets out a total funding requirement of USD 86,200 across programme delivery, administration and asset needs including transport for distribution.

We provide our full profile, budget and audited documentation to prospective institutional donors on request. Contact info@zost-zw.org.
